A recent article on Earth911 asks, "What if we had to pay for the food we waste?"

How much food is wasted in your house?Wow. What an idea? The article says that 40% of food in the United States and United Kingdom is wasted! That's 4 of every ten peas, beans, pounds of meat.

 Food waste composting is becoming a new fad.  Some areas of the country are requiring composting of food waste.  Some compost units are outside but some are now designed to be inside your home and even right in the kitchen.   You do not need to worry about odor or needing an exhaust fan or air purifier.  The latest designs have carbon filters to kill any odor.
