Whenever I think of UV rays, I always think of those old B movies and rays zapping monsters and aliens. I guess that idea is pretty uniform as UV rays are beings used to zap bacteria and germs these days - much like the aliens and monsters, neither of which are desireable.
UltraViolet Devices, Inc. has come out with a device called the Mobile Room Sanitizer. It will be used in the Wisconsin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Prairie, WI. According to the news release:
That 99% reminds me that the Blueair HEPA Silent Air Purifier we have here at AirFlow Technology captures 99.97% of the tiniest airborne 0.1 micron particles on level one, including allergy-provoking pollen grains, dust mites, mold spores and pet dander particles.
But what this new device really reminds me of are Crane air cleaners. They have a UV Light that kills viruses and bacteria to deliver germ free fresh air, in addition to the HEPA filter technology.
