Make your home beautiful with LEDs and the temperature comfortable with the AirFlow Breeze

Here at AirFlow Technology we are always looking for energy saving tips for consumers to not only save energy, but money, too. I know it's a great thing that the new LED holiday lights consume up to 15% less energy than the old strings of holiday lights!!

I'd already decided that as old strings of lights were tossed, I'd replace them with this new - more costly, but longer lasting - alternative. That, as it turns out, is just about all I can do. Let me explain.

We don't like the air to be too sticky in our house, but we like the sticky sap of a real tree for the holidays! Off we went to the tree lot and selected a nice Frazier Fir.

The next morning, my husband, who never, ever puts lights on the tree, started stringing them to beat the band. He was about 2/3 of the way down the tree when he appeared in the doorway of my office.

"We have to go get more lights. I've run out of strings," he said.

Off to the local big box home store. None on the shelves. I mean, really, none - of any sort. "Sorry, sold out," was all the usually handy hardware man could say.

After three more stops, we found several boxes of the new LEDs - at 30% off (Yay, more money savings!). We bought 4. (My husband later went back and bought 4 more to get the tree finished.)

It seems you can't even hardly buy the "old kind" any more. But after it was all said and done, I am actually glad for that.

LED lights make a big impact on the bottom of the holiday tree!Once the tree was done, it appeared tiered. The first third - the top - was full of the oldest strings - the ones where the once-gold lights were now pretty much just white. The middle tier - again old strings - but the golds were still yellow. The bottom tier - comprised of the new LEDs were aglow. I mean AGLOW!! It was evident when I'd stand back and squint my eyes to see the balance of the lights, but when we took a picture - Wow, what a difference.

So not only do the new LEDs save energy, and, in the long term, money; they are beautiful. Time will tell whether the golds bleach out to white and the reds dim to a dusky orange, but for now, they are really, really beautiful.

Your home is beautiful decorated for the holidays. Make for a comfortable temperature in your home, too, by installing an AirFlow Breeze register vent booster fans. The AirFlow Breeze draws all the warmed air out of the ducts to make rooms maintain the desired temperatures for longer. That reduces the number of times the HVAC systems turn on - and saves you money!

Maintain a comfortable humidity level with a humidifier (ideal humidity level is between 40% and 60%) and you will have the perfect trifecta - beauty, comfortable temperature and ideal humidity in your home this winter!
